I have finally successfully built and activated a website (for real this time)! Yahoo!!! It took over a month – not because that’s how long it really needed to take, but that’s because of the way I went about it. From my own experience, I highly and personally recommend using GoDaddy.com (the Website Tonight option). I tried another hosting company (to try to save a dollar or so a month), only to spend a month spinning my wheels (tearing out my hair, etc.). After joining GoDaddy, within about 5 hours (using one of hundreds of very nicely done templates), I had a website on which I felt was ready for launch.
It feels kind of different to “toot” my own horn these days but I am feeling like it’s my time, now, as an artist, to get my work out there. I’m really looking forward to the West Seattle Art Walk on Thursday, November 13 (6-9pm). I’ll be a Shoofly Pie Company (NOT a place for a person on the Atkins diet, but hopefully I’ll be too busy to even smell the yummy pies!). After that, I’ll be doing the Hutch Winter Craft Fair on Friday, December 5 from 9am-3pm (open to the public). I’ve also committed to the annual Shopportunity at Lowell Art Works in Everett on Saturday, November 29 (12-7pm).
More later…
Yay Stacie!
The website is lovely. Thank you for sending the link and making the announcement. I expect to see lots of great stuff in the months to come here!
